  Accelium Olympics 2021

 The Accelium Olympics are challenging online tournaments of strategy games that will captivate student’s imagination and develop their problem-solving skills, planning, self-awareness, focus, and persistence.

 The Accelium Olympics allows each student to practically demonstrate critical thinking skills through games.

 Why now?

  • It is important to focus on skills development!
  • An excellent opportunity to engage students in challenging educational activities
  • It will help to cultivate their motivation
  • To reduce and close the skills gap

 Tournaments Format

  • The tournament is for pupils in classes 1-6 and students in years 7 and 8
  • No prior knowledge is required!
  • The competition is available in a variety of languages.
  • The winners will receive a fun and challenging educational award

 4 tournaments will be held in parallel according to the following division:

  • Tournament 1: Grade 1 – 2 (Year 1 – 2)
  • Tournament 2: Grade 3 – 4 (Year 3 – 4)
  • Tournament 3: Grade 5 – 6 (Year 5 – 6)
  • Tournament 4: Grade 7 – 8 (Year 7 – 8)

 

  Difficulty Level

Each tournament's games and difficulty level are tailored to the students' age group to ensure interest and a challenge.

 Maximum Flexibility

The tournament will last seven days, during which students will complete the competition challenges at an individual pace. The competition is available from any computer or mobile device and students can play both at school and home.

Students scores and ranking will be updated On the Olympic website

 

 

Cost Implication

The cost of registration, practice workout and facilitated training per student is ₦8,000.00.

Deadline for payment: Wednesday 5th May 2021.

Facilitated training/classes (5 sessions) before the competition will hold twice/thrice weekly with optional Saturday classes for 2 weeks.

Access to Practice Kits ends on Friday 28th May 2021 while the Olympics start on Monday 7th June 2021.

The tournament is a replica of the COBIS Mangahigh Maths Challenge which involves students scoring points at the end of every challenge and the points are added to the leaderboard of the school
